Injection Mapping

The injection mapping tool lets you document exactly where you placed each injection during treatment. Tap on a face diagram to place markers, select a product, and record units or volume per point.

Quick Start

  1. Open an appointment and select Face Mapping
  2. Pinch to zoom into the treatment area (1x to 5x)
  3. Tap to place an injection point
  4. Select a product from the dropdown
  5. Enter units or volume
  6. Repeat for each injection site

Markers are stored as image-relative coordinates, so they stay accurate regardless of zoom level or screen size.

Product Search

The product dropdown is a searchable combobox. Start typing to filter:

  1. Inventory products appear first (tagged "From inventory") — these are products you've added to your clinic's inventory
  2. Preset products appear below — a built-in library of common UK aesthetic products
  3. Custom entry — if your product isn't in either list, just type the full name and press Enter

This means you're never blocked by a missing product. If you're using something new (e.g., Relfydesse), type it in and carry on.

Built-In Product Presets

The preset library covers the most common products used in UK aesthetic clinics:

| Category | Products | |----------|----------| | Toxins | Botox, Bocouture, Azzalure, Alluzience, Letybo | | HA Fillers | Juvederm (Ultra, Voluma, Volift, Volbella), Restylane, Belotero, Teoxane RHA | | Other | Sculptra, Profhilo, Lemon Bottle |

Inventory Integration

If you track products in your clinic's inventory (Dashboard → Inventory), those products appear automatically at the top of the dropdown with a "From inventory" tag.

This connects your injection documentation directly to your stock records — when you select an inventory product, it's linked to your batch tracking and compliance records.

Anatomical Guidelines

Toggle the overlay to display reference lines:

  • Midline — vertical centre of the face
  • Thirds — horizontal divisions (forehead, mid-face, lower face)

These help with symmetry checks and consistent documentation across sessions.

Rotation and Navigation

  • Zoom: Pinch or use scroll to zoom from 1x to 5x
  • Rotate: Tap the rotation buttons to flip the diagram 90 degrees
  • Drag markers: Long-press and drag to reposition any placed marker

Mobile Use

The mapping tool is designed for use on a phone during treatment:

  • Larger toolbar and tap targets for gloved hands
  • Floating back button for PWA users (no browser back button)
  • Touch-optimised marker placement and navigation
