Manage your retail range — skincare, aftercare, supplements, and medical products — with stock tracking, low-stock alerts, and batch compliance built in.
Navigate to: Dashboard → Products
Adding a Product
Create a product with name, category, price, and an optional SKU. Toggle Track Inventory on to enable stock counting; leave it off for items you sell in unlimited quantities.
Fields:
- Name and description
- Category (for filtering in POS and reports)
- Price (pence-precision)
- SKU (optional — useful for matching supplier codes)
- Stock level and low-stock alert threshold
- Batch tracking fields (see below)
Inventory Tracking
When tracking is enabled, stock decrements atomically at checkout — two simultaneous transactions cannot oversell the same item.
- Low stock alerts — a warning appears in the product list and at POS when stock falls to or below your threshold
- Blocking — if stock reaches zero, the item cannot be added to a new checkout
- Restocking — edit the product and update the current stock field to reflect your new delivery

Batch Tracking (UK Legal Requirement)
For injectables, prescription medicines, and other regulated medical products, UK law requires batch number and expiry date records at point of use.
Aestheticc stores batch information per product:
- Batch number — supplier lot reference
- Expiry date — flagged in records for clinical audit
This creates an auditable trail linking each treatment to the specific batch used. Required for CQC compliance and adverse event reporting.
Product Categories
Group products into categories to make POS search faster and to filter reports by product type. Create categories in Settings → Product Categories or directly when adding a product.
Selling Products
Products appear in the POS item selector alongside treatments and packages. Stock level is shown next to each item during checkout. Products can be sold standalone or alongside a treatment in a single transaction.
