Voice Notes

Voice Notes lets you record audio observations during or between appointments and automatically converts them to searchable text via Google Vertex AI. The recording saves to cloud storage; the transcription appears in your library within seconds.

This is the fastest way to capture clinical observations, treatment decisions, or follow-up actions without stopping to type.

Recording a Note

Navigate to: Dashboard → Voice Notes

The page has two tabs: Record and Library.

On the Record tab:

  1. Click the microphone button to start recording
  2. Speak your notes naturally — there is no time limit
  3. Click stop when finished
  4. The recording uploads automatically and transcription begins
  5. The transcribed text appears in the Notes Workspace below

You can edit the transcribed text directly before saving it to your library.

Your Library

The Library tab lists all saved recordings with title, duration, and date. You can:

  • Search transcriptions by keyword
  • Click a note to open the full transcription and replay the original audio
  • Copy transcription text to clipboard
  • Load into workspace to edit and re-save
  • Delete recordings you no longer need

Transcription Quality

Transcription is handled by Google Vertex AI Speech-to-Text. For best results:

  • Speak clearly at a normal pace
  • Record in a quiet environment
  • Use a device microphone rather than speakerphone

If the audio is unclear, the transcription will still appear but may need manual correction in the Notes Workspace.

Supported Formats

Audio is recorded in the format your browser captures natively (MP3, WAV, or OGG depending on device). All formats are accepted — you do not need to convert files.
